I typed up this whole god dammed entry already and then my computer chose to be stupid and eat it. So now you all get the abbreviated verson with no spell check. Blame the Vaio.
I have been so hella tired all week. Every waking moment that wasn't spent at work was spent with Shana and Tara taking over Cris house. I seriously havn't had time for this diary, or for proper amounts of sleep or for washing my gross hair or for anything. But, it was worth it. She was completely surprisd. I think she thought we were going to just loiter around her house and eat her food (which, yeah, we did that too, but we also got all Martha Stewart on the place). But, yeah, she loved it, so, yay.
We had a blast at Maroon 5 (or, as Cristina would say The Maroons) last week. Shana, Tara and I are all amazed at the speed with which their's became one of our favorite CD's. Good stuff. Equally good live. Yay. The best part was that they closed with "Frontin", you know, by Pharell Williams. Hee! Hands down the funniest thing I've seen since Third Eye Blind sang TLC's "Ain't To Proud To Beg". For god only knows what reason they had two opening acts who both had 2 long ass sets. The first guy kinda blew. Wasn't feeling him. But I was totally digging Gavin Degraw. I like his sound. Plus I met him after the show, so that was cool. For some reason he felt compelled to hug me, totally unprovoked. Whatev. Now that I think about it, maybe I should meet as many up and comers as possible so I can be a popstar (especially since he's on J records).
So it's spirit week at work. Yeah, they're calling it Customer Service Week, but when we did this shit in high school, it was called spirit week. Yesterday was Twin day, today was team color day (mine was blue) tomorrow is crazy hair day, Thursday is 70's/80's day and Friday is Mardi Gras. And then we have the big game and crown the homecoming queen and all go off to the big dance and blah blah blah fishcakes. Yesterday they handed out this nifty little paper where they wanted us to tell them how we spelled CUSTOMER. Most of the people around me couldn't even turn their's in.. Here's mine:
Cranky
Unreasonable
Stupid
TotallyCluless
Obstinate
Mean
Evil
Retarded.
Yeah, a sup pretty much told me it was inappropriate and that I should not turn it in. Well, you know what, they shouldn't have asked.
Oh! OH!! And speaking of work, this pharmacist totally pissed me off today. He called in because some little girl was haveing her dosage changed and they needed new meds but it was a refil too soon. But she was a little asthma kid like my brothers and I felt for her, so I'm doing everything in my power to get this override to go through even though technically, it wasn't allowed. I called him back twice for more information and went to 4 sups for clarification and help. I worked on this for half an hour, I never put in more than 5 minutes for a call. So finally, I just got completely smacked down and told that it wasn't going to happen. So, just so that he wouldn't keep running it through and trying to get a paid claim and not knowing why it wasn't working, I called him back to tell him it was a no go. And do you even believe that he yelled at me! He had the nerve to tell me about how he didn't understand where I got off punishing the child because her doctor changed the dosage. And that I probably wasn't trying hard enough and that if I knew it wasn't going to go through I should have just told him and not wasted his time. I did tell him! I said "I don't think this will go through because (insert extinuating circumstance here), but I will do everything that I can to get it through for her". Well fuck you, dickhead! ("Dickheads! I'm surrounded by dickheads!") Bah! Customer service week my ASS! When is someone going to have customer service REP week?
Anyways, OK, I gotta bounce, I got e-mails to send and a bath to to take. Wow, I'm so glad my life has finally slowed back down a little. I think my family was starting to forget what I looked like. Later days!
